NPL East Division neighbours Pontefract Collieries are our opponents in the Extra Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup, to be played on Saturday 6th August. It's another tough draw for The Miners in the famous old trophy after going up against top Northern League clubs or those promoted from step 5 in recent years. It will be the first meeting between the two sides since April 2018, shortly before our visitors were promoted from the NCEL. Should Paul Marshall's men cause an upset, we'd hit the A1 for a visit to another NPL outfit in Stockton Town a fortnight later.
In the Isuzu FA Vase, we've been handed a bye to the Second Qualifying Round where we travel to Northern League Division 1 Thornaby on Saturday 24th September. The two sides met in a friendly match in Teesside back in July 2006, but this will be the first competitive one.
