Few matches come easy in this league nowadays, but a difficult task for Rob Hunter's team tomorrow as we aim to avoid a third straight defeat against Mansfield who lead the division by seven points. After a mammoth 17-game unbeaten run was ended by last month's 5-1 defeat against Liversedge, Rudi Funk's side have notched up three victories including a 9-0 hammering of basement side Clipstone last weekend.
Town meanwhile fell out of the top ten on Wednesday, and while scoring goals hasn't been too much of a problem this season, not since Hemsworth away back in January have we conceded less than two in a game. In an ever-competitive division it's something the management team will aim to address if we're to harness a busy end of season to achieve the club's target of a top ten finish.
This meeting last season on 29th October 2016 ended in a 1-0 victory for Garforth, Jack McMurrough with the winner. The Nottinghamshire have since had the better of subsequent meetings, the last being a 3-1 win at the Forest Town Arena on 21st October.
