Sadly it was back down to earth for Rob Hunter's side as a first victory in six at Goole was followed by last week's 6-1 humbling by Hemsworth. A big opportunity now in the run-up to Christmas to put some distance between us and the bottom three as we host 16th place Albion tomorrow and visit 17th place Liversedge a week later.
Our neighbours will also be eager for three points after only one win in four, which should make for a keenly-contested local derby. For the neutral at least, the last couple of meetings here have not disappointed, there being no fewer than 14 goals scored. Following a 4-3 win for The Lions in 2016, Garforth won by the same scoreline on 6th January this year. A Mark Simpson hattrick and a goal from Jack Lazenby earning us the points.
