A break from league action this coming week sees Rob Hunter's side hit the M62 for visits to Brighouse tomorrow and Prestwich Heys in the FA Vase on Saturday.
The first round draw of the County Cup doesn't get any easier for The Miners who face a higher division opponent for the third season running. However, after going four games unbeaten in all comps, tomorrow is as good a time as any to earn a first win in three attempts in the competition. There's also a score to settle with our Evo-Stik League East division hosts, who were 5-0 winners in the last meeting between the two sides on Cedar Ridge just over two years ago. Vill Powell's team are currently 5th in the table with eighteen points from eleven games, and will aim to bounce back after defeat to Stamford at the weekend.
A number of players returning from injury, amongst them Jonathan Andrew, Daniel Omosebi, Javan Benjamin and Sanchez Payne are expected to feature, along with Curtly Martin-Wyatt and Helmo Silva.
