After having to settle for a point last week against Thackley, Rob Hunter's 14th place side aim to go one better as we make a first ever league visit to Knaresborough. Our neighbours stand in sixth place and, whilst collecting more points than us in their last six outings, are currently without a win in their last three. After a 4-2 win on Cedar Ridge in September, Paul Stansfield's team will look to complete the double and potentially move back into the top three.

It's the third of a difficult trio of fixtures this month for The Miners against promotion-chasing sides, but the win against Yorkshire Amateur shows what the lads are capable of when at their best.

There's only been one previous meeting between the two sides at Manse Lane, but it produced Garforth's only victory thus far over our North Yorkshire opponents. In a West Riding County Cup First Round tie on 30th September 2014, Town won 2-1 thanks to goals from Sam Akeroyd and Jay Davis.

Join us if you can, hope to see you there. Up the Miners!
