Rob Hunter's resurgent team will aim to make it four straight wins tomorrow to progress into the First Round proper of the FA Vase. Our visitors Nelson have on the other hand suffered four straight defeats and will look to the competition for a change in fortunes. The Admirals were until the 1930s a league club, but nowadays play their trade in the NWCFL Division 1 along with our opponents from the other week Holker Old Boys.
There's been one previous meeting between the two sides, a match which seasoned supporters won't need reminding of. On 29th September 2001 Town were hammered 8-0 at Victoria Park in this same competition. The result remains one of the club's heaviest ever defeats and we finally have the chance to avenge it tomorrow.
Please note should the match end in a draw (after extra time) we'll head over to Lancashire on Monday 25th September for the replay, kick-off 7:45pm.
