A disappointing festive period for Rob Hunter's team leaves us in 14th place with other teams close behind, and we face the no-easy task this month of picking up points against promotion-chasing sides to avoid being dragged towards the bottom three.

After a 100% record in November, our neighbours managed only one win in their three games played last month, but nevertheless remain seven points clear at the top. Phil Richards' side will aim to get back to November's highs and keep at bay challengers Penistone and Knaresborough in their quest for Evo-Stik League football.

A battling display almost earned us a point when the two sides met at Bracken Edge back in November, ex-Town striker Jason St Juste breaking hearts with a 78th minute winner for the hosts. The last meeting on Cedar Ridge came in the West Riding County Cup on 20th October 2015; Spencer Lund, Luke Mangham, Mark Simpson and Curtly Martin-Wyatt on target in a 4-3 win for Graham Nicholas' team.

Hope to see you there, up the Miners!
