Garforth had the better of the chances first half but for much of it couldn't find the finish. Oli Patrick hit a 20-yard effort wide after Harris Eggleston's foray in from the left, before a low strike by the latter moments later was straight at Stocksbridge keeper Ben Townsend.
Jamie Barkway, who received an award for his recent 200th appearance before the game, got on the end of a deep cross from Patrick but the ball bounced up in front of him and his header was over the bar. On 21 mins there was a good chance for Eggleston when he raced clear but Townsend did well to save at his feet. Al-Jahadhmy almost profited when a loose ball came to him after Townsend parried Eggleston's cross, his shot blocked at the near post.
On 37 mins Al-Jahadhmy produced the moment of quality the game had been crying out for with a superb solo goal to give us the lead. Released down the left via Harry Flatter's long ball, he beat two defenders before finding the net with a low drive.
Two mins into the second half the lead was doubled courtesy of another well-taken goal. Eggleston's cross came to Patrick who scored with a cracking strike into the top corner. A second goal in as many games for the midfielder who's added goals to his game since return from injury in pre-season.
On 53 mins Steels brought themselves immediately back into the game from their real chance of note. Tom Shepherd's cross found Romario Dunne who turned home at close range. The visitors seemed to find a yard of pace and for the next fifteen minutes or so caused The Miners real problems, evoking unwelcome memories among home supporters of Lincoln United's comeback here seven days earlier. Sub Louie Ward's snapshot was beaten away at close range by Flatters, before Town's number 1 dived to keep out a Tomas Poole header after a ball into the box was headed on.
Happily for Garforth supporters, we responded on 68 mins by finally putting the game to bed. Patrick played in Eggleston on the edge of the box who made it 3-1 with a curling low shot into the far corner.
There were still more saves for Flatters to make however who threatened to upstage his goalscoring teammates. One of which came on 75 mins when he made a good stop with his feet to deny Dunne who raced clear after a mistake at the back.
It was four twelve minutes from the end after a Steels defensive error. A poor ball out went straight to Al-Jahadhmy who tricked his way into the box and finished low at the near post for his second of the game. Now top of Town's scoring charts with five, he almost grabbed a first club hattrick on 83 mins when he forced a near post save from Townsend. Jordan Emery and sub James Burgess were both unfortunate in the space of a minute not to make it five towards the end. Emery's header from Patrick's corner kick was headed off the line, then Burgess headed home Eggleston's delivery but was ruled offside.
The final word went to Flatters who produced a stunning save to turn wide Diego Noche's well-directed header.
A pleasing win for Paul Marshall's side after conceding late equalisers in each of our last two outings. In the second of three home games on the bounce, we host Consett this Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
