Garforth greats - 7 questions - Connor and Hotchkiss

We invite former players to share some moments from their time with us

1) Where are you currently playing your football (or where did you last play?)

Lee - "I retired at Farsley afc in 2012 but made a comeback last season at Goole AFC and I have just come out of retirement and signed for Ossett town.

Olly - "Durham City FC"

2) How would you describe yourself as a footballer?

Lee - " I was good in the air, and I could read a game , I also used to score quite a few goals for a centre half."

Olly - "Playmaker"

3) Which years were you at Garforth Town (roughly)?

Lee - "I only played for 1 season at Garforth and we won the county cup it was 2008-2009 season."

Olly - "2010-2012"

4) Which was your best season here and why?

Lee - " I only played 1 season – and winning the county cup was a bonus."

Olly - "2011/12 play off semi-finals"

5) Looking back on your time at Garforth, can you pick out three memorable (good or bad) moments.

Lee - "WINNING THE COUNTY CUP – scoring both goals in a 2-1 win v Trafford- captaining the team in the absence of Brett Renshaw."

Olly - "Play off semi-final against Curzon Ashton, Beating Skelmersdale in the final game to reach the playoffs, that goal against Clitheroe!"

6) Which team mate stood out most in your time here, and for what reasons?

Lee - "I must say Duncan Williams he was a great young player who I thought would progress through the leagues."

Olly - "Matt Dempsey - unbelievable technique and could play loads higher!"

7) Do you have a message for Garforth supporters in their 50th year?

Lee - " Garforth is a great set up - and should be higher up the non league pyramid , keep doing things right on and off the pitch."

Olly - "Great fans and had a wonderful time at Garforth! Top fans and always will be!"
