Silsden were looking for a win to make NPL safety almost certain and they got off to a perfect start, when Luke Brooksbank burst through to score after just seventeen seconds.

Cobbydalers’ dreams of victory were soon dashed when Charlie Marshall restored parity just six minutes later.
Marshall was on hand to give Garforth the lead mid-way through the half, but home fans’ joys were also short lived when Harry Coates bundled a Silsden corner over the line just before the break.

The second half couldn’t live up to the excitement of the first, but there was still time for late drama when a Silsden header hit the crossbar and a Garforth penalty claim was waved away in stoppage time.
