Garforth made all the running in the early stages, and “The Stan” had to rely on goalkeeper Lewis Brass to pull off a couple of big saves to deny Charlie Marshall and Rinor Ejupi, before Dale Pearson put the home side ahead on twenty nine minutes.

Heaton had the majority of the second half chances and it was Garforths’ turn to be kept in the game by their ‘keeper. Harry Flatters thwarting efforts by Pearson, Jay Errington and Konner Lamb.

Brass was on hand to make one more vital save in stoppage time before the whistle blew for Heatons’ first home league win since January 2nd.

Garforth have two home games this coming week.
Consett are the visitors on Tuesday night (7.45pm), and Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday (3pm).
