Garforth Town are delighted to announce the return of Dexter Ball for the 2025/26 season.
A product of the club’s youth pathway, Dexter broke into the senior side as a teenager and quickly caught the eye with his tireless energy, technical ability and determination to give everything for the badge. Over the years he became a cornerstone of the Miners’ midfield, earning admiration from teammates and supporters alike.
By November 2024, Dexter had already surpassed the 100 appearance milestone in yellow and blue, a remarkable achievement for such a young player and a measure of the trust placed in him by successive managers.
His time at Garforth has already been marked by silverware. Dexter was a key part of the NCEL Playoff winning squad, a side that was such a force to be reckoned with and delivered one of the most memorable chapters in the club’s recent history. That triumph will live long in the memory of everyone connected with Garforth, and Dexter’s contribution to that campaign ensured his place in club folklore.
In early 2025, Dexter took the opportunity to test himself elsewhere, making the move to Ossett United. The experience gave him the chance to grow further as a player and broaden his footballing horizons. Now, just months later, he has made the decision to return to the Bannister Prentice Stadium and the timing could not be better.
Welcome home, Dexter. Once a Miner, always a Miner.
