Tuesday Night Football Returns to the Bannister Prentice

Garforth Town return to league action this Tuesday evening as they welcome Bishop Auckland to the Bannister Prentice Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:45.

The Miners will be aiming to respond after last weekend’s 2–0 defeat at home to Blyth Spartans in the Northern Premier League. Despite spells of pressure, Garforth were undone by two clinical finishes and left empty handed.

In the FA Cup, Bishop Auckland also suffered disappointment, losing 3–1 at home to Chadderton. They will now look to refocus on league matters and put points on the board.

In the league standings, Bishop currently sit 17th with one win, one draw and one defeat from their opening three fixtures. Garforth are just behind in 18th, having drawn four and lost one of their opening five games.

Garforth have spread their goals around in the early weeks of the season, with captain Dan Coupland, Rinor Ejupi, Nash Connolly, Max Tweddle and George Harrison all finding the net so far. That variety in attack will give Paul Marshall’s side confidence as they look to get back on track.

Bishop, meanwhile, will be eager to show a response of their own after their early cup exit and will provide a tough challenge under the Bannister Prentice lights.

Kick off at the Bannister Prentice Stadium is 7.45pm
