Barring South Shields away in the FA cup, Garforth face their toughest test of the season so far this Saturday when they travel eight miles to the Southerns Stadium for this local "Leeds derby".
Ammers have won six league games on the trot, in stark contrast the Miners haven't won in the NCEL in their last five outings (Septembers' away win at Thackley was the last time Garforth took three points).
Not surprisingly, the danger man for Ammers will be the prolific Ashley Flynn, who's scored in their last twelve games, racking up nineteen goals and a couple of hat-tricks along the way.
Former Garforth player Fernando Moke is also hitting the net regularly and is one of possibly half a dozen ex-Miners that could take to the field for Phil Harding and Neil Sibson.
After a great start to the season that belied expectations, Garforth seem to have gone a bit stale in recent weeks.
Tuesday nights' game against Staveley summed up Garforths' fortunes of late. A plethora of attacks, but none of them finding their way between the sticks.
The return of a few former players may just freshen things up, but the players just need to re-gain that early season belief.
