Club operations to pause for a minutes' applause for Ella

On Saturday we will pause normal matchday operations shortly before kick-off so that all Garforth Town volunteers and staff can take part in the minute’s applause for Ella Lynch, who sadly passed away on Monday.

Many of our volunteers and staff knew Ella and her family personally, and it is important to us that they have the opportunity to stand together and pay their respects.

From 2:45pm the car-park marshalling will stop, and from 2:55pm the turnstiles, clubhouse bar, Bar-forth and food kiosk will temporarily close. All areas will reopen shortly after the minutes applause. We encourage you to arrive early to ensure you are pitchside ahead of the applause.

We appreciate your patience and understanding if this briefly affects you on arrival or service. Thank you for helping us honour Ella together as one club.

After a stuttering start to 2026, Garforth have won back to back away games.
The 4-0 win at Hallam on Tuesday will be a real boost coming into Saturdays game.

Ashington come into this game on the back of a spirited performance against Emley on Tuesday, although the Pewits eventually came back from a goal down to win 2-1.
One win in six has left them lingering in the relegation spots, although a win at Garforth could lift them out.

Kick off at the Bannister Prentice Stadium is 3pm.
