Garforth travel to Lancashire this afternoon to play Burscough FC in the FA Vase first round.
The Linnets had their most successful spell during the 2000s, when they lifted the FA trophy and were crowned NPL champions.
Previous meetings between the clubs all came in the 2012/13 season when they both played in the NPL.
Burscough ran out 2-1 winners in the FA Trophy at Cedar Ridge, 5-0 winners in their home league match and 5-1 winners in the return fixture at Garforth.
A lot has changed at both clubs since those days and they both now play a step below.
The Linnets have hit some impressive form lately, going unbeaten in their last three games, scoring ten goals in the process.
The Miners are also in a rich vein of form and will be hoping to extend their own unbeaten run to ten, but the form book often goes out of the window for cup matches and you couldn't predict the outcome this afternoon.
