Garforth welcome Grimsby Borough to the Bannister Prentice Stadium on Saturday, looking to claw back some ground on the current Premier Division pace-setters.
Boros' campaign got off to an underwhelming start with a nil nil draw at Albion Sports and a 6-2 hammering at rivals Winterton in the Fa Cup, but since then they've embarked on a ten game unbeaten run in all competitions, which has led to a seven point lead at the top of the table.
Richie Burdett is their top goal-getter with a tally of seven (six in the league) so far and Daniel Trott has hit five in his last three outings, but goals have been coming from plenty of other sources too.
Garforth have recovered from a bit of a stutter towards the end of August, leading to a whole month unbeaten in September.
The Miners have hit eleven goals without reply over their last three games and have only failed to score in just one game this season (the FA cup exit at Shildon on August 7th).
The last meeting between the sides saw Garforth run out 2-0 winners thanks to a brace from Dan Coupland at the Bradley football development centre.
The last meeting at the Bannister Prentice Stadium was almost a year ago to the day (3rd October 2020).
Goals from Charlie Marshall, Dan Coupland, Lee Turner and a Joe Thornton double eased the Miners to a 5-1 win that day.
