Garforth kick-off a double-header of fixtures at the Bannister Prentice Stadium this week with a league cup second round tie against Nostell Miners Welfare on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).
The last meeting between the sides was in a pre-season friendly back in July, when a first half lead earned by James Burgess was overturned by goals in the last five minutes from Lewis Pickering and Danny Edwards.
Although the sides meet regularly in friendlies, we have to go back to the 2015/16 season for the previous competitive meetings.
That was the season that Nostell were relegated from the NCEL Premier Division, while Garforth survived by four points (which is exactly what they earned from the two meetings).
Luke Mangham and Curtly Martin-Wyatt gave Garforth a 2-0 win in the home fixture, while Town battled out a 0-0 draw at the Welfare ground.
Following a 100% win record in August, The Welfare have had mixed results since. The two wins that they've earned in their last seven matches have funnily enough both been against Worsborough.
There are a few familiar ex-Garforth faces amongst the Nostell squad, including Jamie Allsop, Lee Kelsey, Liam Ormsby, Chris Ovington and (very briefly!) Nathan Perks.
Anees Younis has been banging the goals in this season, but Perks and Danny Edwards are also a big goal threat.
Garforth come into this game on the back of a resilient draw away at Eccleshill on Saturday.
While the performance wasn't their best, their ability to dig in when the going is tough was impressive once again.
