After promising displays against Scarborough and Worksop, The Miners look to earn a first pre-season win over visiting Nostell. After finishing 12th in Division 1 last season, Ian Walker's side started their pre-season with a 5-0 defeat to Premier Division newcomers Winterton Rangers, but have since recorded victories over Brandon United and Campion. There's likely to be a few familiar faces in their ranks, ex-Town players Liam Ormsby and Chris Ovington being two. The Welfare are another side we face for a second pre-season in a row - goals from Jack Lazenby and Lee Turner giving us a 2-0 win at the Crofton Community Centre in August last year.
To keep everyone safe given the rising infection rates, we'll be keeping most of our Covid-19 restrictions in place. We'll be displaying the QR codes at the gate for you to scan using the NHS app. You can pay at the gate, bar and kiosk by cash or card.
The clubhouse will be open and you can order at the bar, but once served, no standing or sitting there will be permitted. We kindly request people drink outside if possible. Our latest Covid-19 risk assessment can be found below.
