York League sides Tadcaster Magnets, Old Malton St Marys and Dringhouses, plus NCEL Division 1 neighbours Nostell MW, are our pre-season opponents so far as Paul Marshall looks to get his first full season as Garforth boss underway. Here's the full list:
Tadcaster Magnets (A) - Thursday 6th August, kick-off 6:45pm
Old Malton St Mary's (H) - Tuesday 11th August, kick-off 7:30pm
Dringhouses (H) - Thursday 13th August, kick-off 7:30pm
Nostell MW (A) - Tuesday 25th August, kick-off time tbc.
Whilst we're looking forward to seeing everyone again after these strange times, we must stress that due to government guidelines these games will be played behind closed doors.
All going well, matches with spectators in attendance will be permitted from Saturday 5th September, although the official season start date is yet to be confirmed. Work is going on behind the scenes to ensure all of us can enjoy our football again safely and within government guidelines.
In the meantime, pre-season training is back underway and we hope to bring you all the news on new signings and returning players in the coming days.
