Garforth were beaten in the Yorkshire Trophy final by Campion, who clawed their way back after trailing in the first half.
James Burgess gave the Miners the lead when he charged down a goalkeeper clearance.
Former Miners player Joe Colley nodded Campion level from a corner.
Another goal from the NCEL first division side was enough to claim a deserved victory on the day.
Garforth kick off their league campaign on Friday 29th July at home to Hemsworth at the Bannister Prentice Stadium.
