Left-back Sam Lingard (pictured) joined Garforth on Tuesday, making him one of Rob Hunter's final signings. It's a second spell for the ex-Pickering and Selby Town man after making a handful of appearances in September last year.
Goalkeeper Stephen Weatherill has signed for the club after suffering a two-year spell on the sidelines due to injury. The former Knaresborough Town and Harrogate Railway man has already appeared between the sticks in some of our friendlies and will hope to keep first choice keeper Paul Hagreen on his toes in the coming weeks. Indeed he could well feature in early games due to Paul being on holiday.
Oliver Maude is another new face, joining us from Glasshoughton. The central-midfield player has been brought in by Rob to add experience and physical strength in the middle of the park, and has of course got himself off the mark already with a beauty on his debut at Huntington. Ollie is a well-known face in local football circles, having previously played for last week's opponents Whitkirk Wanderers, as well as Seacroft WMC and East Leeds.
Midfielders Kris Robertshaw and Aiden Kearsley, and left-back Brett Smith make the step up from local football. Kris is an experienced central-midfield player previously with Carlton Athletic. Aiden is a right-sided player who can also play at right-back and has played for the 1Yorks Army team and Mount St Mary's. Brett is a young left-back who joins us from Sherburn White Rose.
A warm welcome to all of those joining us, here's to a great season ahead!
