Tomorrow afternoon Garforth Town pick up from where they
left off on Tuesday at the Bannister Prentice stadium for the
3rd game running, as Bottesford Town travel up from
Lincolnshire to take on Paul Marshall’s men.

It was last minute misery for the Miners midweek as a
penalty in the closing seconds gifted all 3 points to high flying
visitors Winterton Rovers, despite a more than point worthy
performance from a devastated Garforth who ultimately lost
out 1-0.

This weekend's opponents have had a tricky season to endure
which sees the Poachers sat 18th in the table, threatened with
relegation if they drop any lower and with no possibility of
climbing any higher regardless of Saturday’s result.

Last time the sides met Garforth had to fight back to overturn
an early goal, as Charlie Marshall drew the sides level in a 1-1
draw at Birch Park.

Since then however, tomorrow’s visitors have only managed
to win 3 of their 18 matches in the league. And although in
their previous two fixtures Bottesford recorded a crucial
victory over relegation rivals Goole, and secured a point
against Maltby, you would like to think the Miners are firm
favourites.

Hopefully an April Fool's Day headline doesn’t end up writing
itself for Garforth, as the sides get their fixture underway at
3pm tomorrow.

We're honoured to have Michael Lonergan here as match sponsor, in memory of his son (former Garforth goalkeeper Jack Lonergan).
