Central midfield player Ross Shelton has returned to The Miners after resigning as Parkgate manager. The 27 year-old was a member of Graham Nicholas' promising 2015-16 squad before moving to Ossett Town with his boss in October that season. He has since moved on to Parkgate and made the step up to manager this season, but couldn't inspire a turnaround in the Steelmens' fortunes.
Supporters may remember him leaving the field injured when playing against us at the Roundwood Sports Complex back on 7th October, but Ross is expected to go straight into the squad for tomorrow's visit of Harrogate Railway.
Speaking to the Bootiful Game, Ross said "I am buzzing to get back playing again after just over a year out with my injury. Back to my old club at Garforth which is a great club and speaking to the gaffer is a club going places."
Welcome back Ross!
