A big Garforth welcome to centre-back Karl Fitzgerald who has signed for the club. The 27-year-old has previously played at Beverley Town, East Yorkshire Carnegie and Hall Road Rangers. Photo hopefully to follow!
Joining the list of players remaining on Cedar Ridge is attacking midfielder Joe Colley. The 19-year old made the step-up from our development team in 2018 and has gone on to make over 60 appearances with the first team. A previous young player of the season award winner who chips in with the odd (and often memorable) goal. A product of York City Academy.
Central/holding midfield player Connor Mayall also signs on for another season. Connor made a handful of appearances after joining in October last year and scored his first goal for the club in the win at Grimsby. Has previously played at Tadcaster Albion, the i2i Academy, Dunnington and Dringhouses.
Two players leaving the club are central defender Alex Low and attacking midfielder Kane Bingley. Alex was in his second spell with the club last season after playing a few games with Clitheroe towards the end of 2018-19. In total he made 51 appearances in a Garforth jersey, scoring twice. Kane has been with us since December 2018 and went on to appear 33 times for the club, with one goal coming from the spot in the penalty shoot-out defeat to Staveley in the league cup in February last year.
