A warm welcome to 24-year old centre-back Jamie Barkway. After four years playing his football in America with Newman Jets, Jamie more recently played at Barton Town and in the Northern Premier League with Pickering Town. Pic hopefully to follow!
Among the latest of last season's names to commit to the club is Lee Turner. The experienced and hard-working centre-forward (who's also performed capably in midfield and at centre-back) returned in November 2018 and has gone on to complete 130 appearances. Formerly with Wakefield FC, Nostell and HT Sports.
Garforth’s very ‘Willian’, Helmo Silva begins a fourth season on Cedar Ridge. A loyal and popular squad man, the Portugese attacking midfielder combines flair with an irrepressible work ethic and has made nearly 60 appearances for the club.
Son of manager Paul, Charlie Marshall continues his second spell in LS25. Upon rejoining last October, he made an immediate impact with a brace in the win at Bridlington. A talented young midfielder previously with Pickering and Tadcaster Magnets.
Supporters can be forgiven for not recognising George Brown’s name who joins us for another season. Signing in March, the 21-year old striker was unlucky in his debut being what turned out to be the final game of last season, at Grimsby. Another player to have spent time in the US having played at Spring Hill College. Back in the UK he’s previously played for Dringhouses.
