Rob Hunter's team got themselves off the mark in style with Saturday's thumping win over Clipstone. The next two opponents look likely to be a tougher test, with newly promoted Penistone tomorrow and pace-setters Hemsworth on Saturday, but with confidence no doubt high can we cause an upset?
Tomorrow's opponents made an excellent start to the season with an FA Cup win over North West Counties League side Charnock Richard and a 6-2 success over Rainworth in their first league game. But after losing out 1-0 to neighbours Athersley on Saturday, Ian Richards' side will be aiming to get back to winning ways on their first ever visit to the Supply Chain Network Stadium.
The two teams have met previously in pre-season friendlies in the Graham Nicholas era, both at the Memorial Ground. The last came on 14th July 2015 when goals from Sam Clarkson and Curtly Martin-Wyatt gave us a 2-0 win.
