After a dominant display last weekend, the Miners will aim to replicate their impressive performance against Cleckheaton side Liversedge FC at the Clayborn Ground for the last matchday before Christmas.
In August, the reverse fixture between the sides saw goals from Matt Antcliff and Jay Davis seal a 3-0 victory for Town at the Bannister Prentice Stadium. The Sedge currently sit 15th in the NPL East table compared to Garforth in 9th with 12 points splitting the teams.
Last Saturday, Liversedge squandered an early lead to lose 3-1 to Sherwood Colliery; a disappointing result considering Colliery were in the relegation places prior to the match. Manager Ryan Toulson and new assistant manager Danny Ellis will want their side to put in a better showing this weekend in front of their home following.
Sedge captain Joe Walton recently celebrated a stunning ten years at the club and is an experienced mainstay in the Liversedge frontline alongside striking partner Jack Dyche, who is the side's top scorer in the league with five goals. Town's Saturday opponents will look to rectify their inconsistent start to the season.
Returning to the Miners, Harry Colville and Nash Connolly will be ruled out injured ahead of the weekend encounter, but with the rest of the team being available for selection. Last Saturday's 3-0 win against Ossett United meant Town have picked up ten points from their last five matches in the NPL East: a cracking run of form with some stunning performances on show.
Hopefully, Paul Marshall's side can maintain their strong displays over the hectic holiday period and notch another three points on the board
Kick-off is 3pm
